Step by Step.....

My ambition is at the neck
My dream is reaching the peak
 My future brighter than light
Seeing light at the end of the tunnel
Fumigating pride in a proffessional way
Being fulminated but getting better in an official way
Taking it step-by-step in a very slow way

 Step-by-step to the summit
 Giving myself no limits
Dedicated to my job, fighting for my future without any permit
Swallowing pride, vomiting doubts, believing in myself
I'm one gregarious man, brave like a lion
Taking this step with full concentration

I'm Infusing the infurrating doubts, getting stronger than an iron
 Stepped-up like a transformer
My vision getting on point like exclusive bullets
 One step at a time
They may hate me, rate me but giving me strength with time
Step-by-step, unpitiless, slowly but surely to the top

Screw-driving my scripts, my mind is that kind,
That is scrupulous, I'm scrutizing my verse
 One step at a time
Stepladders on the left side, no short cuts
Step by step until I step at the top

Sweet half of your heart.....

The smile that shines through the heart
Its the smile that brightens up yo face
But I can see the tears that run behind it
The tears that have never run dry

Tears, cry no more for I can see your heart's grief
Who am I, you may wonder
I'm the face that you see every time you close your eyes
I'm that dream that comes to you every night

The darkness in the heart may seem endless
But indeed the answer I am
I am that sun that shines in your heart by day
I'm that moon that brightens up your dreams by night

Who really am I, you may still wonder
I am that angel who carries you but you never see
I'm that pulse that you feel in your heart at all times
I'm that first breath you take in the morning
And that last prayer you say every night

The question still stands in your heart
Who really am I, you wonder
I'm that shadow whose purpose u don't know
I'm that whisper that electrifies your heart
Indeed I am the other sweet half of your heart
Just waiting, Waiting for a re-union.

THE DARLING ANGEL....

Have been lost in deep thoughts
My mind so blown away by you
Seeing you just makes me smile
Your presence makes me proud
Proud because i know i am loved
You give me a reason to smile
You remind me of who i am
I don't love you because you are beautiful,
But you are beautiful because i love you
You are... A Woman, a great woman

R.I.P.

*This piece is in memory of my father  Sairira Lovemore Gwara

Sometimes things get so hard
I sit alone and wonder
could this have happened if u were still here?
for it seems no one truly cares
you did
and you died
before I could show you my appreciation.
I miss the sound of your voice
when you would send me on an errand
or just to call my name
to reassure me I am your son
I treasure the advices you gave me
I wish you were still here
to enlighten me about the mysteries of this
life
this crooked life
that took you from me
when we had so much we could have done
now your walk in this earth
has left footprints
stamped in my heart
I will forever cherish
the good times we had
I will let go of the bad past
and promise to be the son you always
thought i should be
I will make you proud
I will not fail you
because u were my inspiration
it is almost a year now
days come and go
the winds of time will blow
yet they will not reach that place in my heart
where everything we did is safely kept
so in my life u will always be
a mentor
a father
a friend
and my pillar of strength
I dream about you a lot
people say it is bad to dream about you
I do not know what to say
because they will never miss you the way I do
they just do not understand
neither do they acknowledge that I loved you
with all that I had
so when I dream about you
I do not put superstition in it
I know
one day I will fully understand
but for now
many months later
I still grieve for my loss
I do not know how others feel
but if they tell me they are in pain
I surely know how it feels
I miss you my father
I will miss you more
but as it is promised
we will meet one day
and I would truly smile
when you welcome me with that smile...

'Church?!'

The devil dances a merry glee,
Dove-white suit, black-washed raven hair,
Tithe your bills and choir along, flock,
Birds of a feather sing together.
He owns the night and claims the day,
Where shall the wounded truth hide:
Evil struts where God once lived,
The Bible's distorted, misquoted,
The righteous disown it, shattered souls
And bleeding eyes, crouching hell and
Swooping owl. Roaming spirits
Raised from the abyss, darkness sweeps
About it leaps, his time is now;
Watch his cloak turn in the midnight dance,
Form is shadow, shadow's form'
Black rains, black reins, black reigns.

Love Methodology

Eyes met sight in April,
and thought grew to be a beautiful,
seductive and radiant yet vicious specimen of
victory's result.
Chemistry haunted thought as sight
made love to the eye. Uncertain is thought to sight's trust.
Charming anger in sight's eyes as
thought refuses to believe what sight
illustrates.
Thought seeks for love methodology.

Love is not blind, it refuses to see.

Ancient Verses.....

Drumming ancient verses,
trembling faun spirits in shame,
drumming ancient spirits into time,

bear-footedly trembling the ground beneath the sole in dance,
tango with the ancient.
seek not to understand but lend your eyes to understand,
let your ears feel tangoed by ancient verses,
like fog parading the air-space over rivers and lakes,
ancient verses drummed into time with tangos of the ancient,
gale forces in verses blowing trees of flesh indulgence down into trance,
saris and sarong-like depicting spiritual trans and ancient transcripts in hierarchy of time, drumming ancient verses,
tango with the ancient,
this is not just a vogue,
but an objectless shout connecting the past and the present,
aloud they beat,
embedded in those beats a message not understood by the short-sighted but those close to shore,
message drummed in verses,
ancient verses.
